AIRFLOW INDICATOR
RAB GRIP ■ xFUME® PRO
The Airflow measuring device is for checking the extraction
volume of fume extraction torches.
The volume flow is checked by compressing a spring in an
acrylic glass tube. For this purpose the tube is held in a neutral, vertical position and the welding torch is inserted into
the receptacle with the extraction switched on (see illustration).
On the tube there is a scale which is divided into three areas. There are two red areas (too much or too little suction
volume) and between them a green area (optimum suction
volume). If the counter holder is in the green area, the volume flow is maintained according to the norm DIN EN ISO
21094-1.
The tube is for checking purposes only and does not provide any measurement results
Due to the volume flow of the extraction, a force acts on the
counter holder, which in turn compresses the spring.
